My town hosts a big “Hometown Days” festival every May and this year I took the opportunity to do some quick observational drawings while I was there!! I haven’t done on-the-spot watercolors in a long time, so it was nice to get back into it…

Hey guys, I have some AMAZING news! The 25th anniversary issue of Dark Horse Presents, a comics anthology with a fantastic legacy, is coming out soon. And guess what’s in it! I was invited to contribute a special chapter of The Chapel Chronicles exclusive to this issue of DHP. I was SUPER honored and flattered to be invited to contribute, especially because I’m the youngest contributor they’ve had. I really hope you all pick up a copy when it hits stands on June 19th! Hi guys, I had announced earlier in passing that I was going to be at this weekend’s Stumptown Comics Fest in Portland. Unfortunately for the past 2.5 weeks I’ve been down with a bad case of mono and I can’t go to the convention this weekend. I’m really sorry to anyone who was hoping to see me there and I’m going to really miss being there! However you can still see my tablemate, Jake Richmond of Modest Medusa, and check out some of his great comics instead.
For everyone who’s going to Stumptown please have fun for me there! I’m gonna miss it!
I’m going to be exhibiting at MoCCA Fest in NYC this weekend, where I’ll be debuting a brand-new Chapel Chronicles Collection! It features 152 pages with a completely redesigned look! Includes Seasons 1-3 and bonus content not published anywhere else, including extra art and the history of Chapel’s creation. Met a normal-sized human today. Most are monstrously large. We had an interesting discussion on the mammals called hedgehogs and “Downton Abbey.”

well… yeah… this happened. it’s kinda bad right now. >_< but it’s a model of chapel, who’s the main character in a webcomic by emma t. capps called Chapel Chronicles. She’s holding her pet hedgehog named Rupert in her right arm… it’s kind of hard to see because of the picture quality.
I already said this, but this sculpture is SO ADORABLE! I never thought I’d see the day that fans would make sculptures of my comic characters and this is just the cutest thing ever. Thank you so much!!
